A report on serious world event blog The Times this weekend said MS was talking to the BBC about getting its shows up on Xbox Live.
Whether this would be for download via the upcoming Video Marketplace or part of the longer-term IPTV plans they didn't really go into, although it'd make a lot of sense to have local stuff available for download when Video Marketplace launches here in a couple of months, rather than old episodes of US shows we've long since watched "on Bittorrent".
Whatever happens, getting top-drawer BBC content like Planet Earth and the rest of the corporation's HD content beamed to our Xbox 360s would be bloody good news. Although it would mean paying for them, instead of today's option of just lying about having a TV license and watching everything for free.
