Console manufacturer Microsoft has sent a message to users of its Xbox Live service informing them it will close down on Monday for maintenance work.
The firm said the service will close at 9am on Monday but will be up and running again at around 1pm the same day.
Although Microsoft refused to comment on what the maintenance is for, there is industry speculation that it will involve the annual autumn update.
Rumours also suggest the update will include a parental timer, allowing an adult to pre-program a set amount of time for their youngster to play games before the console shuts down.
