Review: Ninja Gaiden (PS3)

As far as arcade games go I would have to say that Ninja Gaiden (PS3) is one of the better ones I have played.
For a start the graphics are some of the best I have seen so far on the PS3 (mind you I still think they can do better) and the characters' interaction with the environment is pretty sweet.
For example, you have the ability to run along walls and perform spectacular attacks using the walls as a springboard.
The backstory seems to revolve around a ninja called Ryu, the original name for a ninja I know (see the Street Fighter games if you don't know what I'm talking about), and his quest to do . . . something involving a sword – I think.
Anyway the story's not important, what is important is the action and this game has loads of it.
If I did have to put a negative spin on Ninja Gaiden it would be that at times it is just simply too arcady for my liking, in that all you do is kill some ninjas and then kill some more ninjas.
I like a game to have more to it than just straight-up fighting all the time.
This game does have some moments of strategy, just not quite enough.
Overall a pretty good game and hopefully, graphics wise, it is sign of things to come
